About TAF Festival
TAF – Thessaloniki Animation Festival is a pioneering event established in 2015 by ADDART, celebrating the art and culture of animation in Northern Greece. As the only festival of its kind in the region, TAF has become a significant platform for creativity and education, attracting over 77,000 visitors, featuring more than 1,200 selected films, and hosting numerous special screenings. The festival’s 10th edition highlighted an engaging program from October 17th to 21st, showcasing a variety of film screenings, masterclasses, workshops, and unique virtual reality experiences.
TAF also hosts the Balkan Animation Forum, a platform that invites artists from the Balkans to pitch their projects for cash prizes and support. Awards include categories like Best Greek Film and Best Student Film, fostering upcoming talents in animation. With a mission to nurture artistic expression, TAF stands out as a vibrant hub for animation enthusiasts, professionals, and newcomers alike. The festival continues to build a dynamic community centered around animation and storytelling.
