LIGTAS Philippines is a Scout-led initiative dedicated to public safety, emergency preparedness, and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management. Founded in 2018 as the Youth Task Force Ligtas, this initiative was established by Airman Scout Ken Boltiador to ensure the safety of local communities. Originally envisioned as a Youth Network of Emergency Responders, it aimed to involve young individuals capable of serving as Emergency Responders.

Starting in Mandaue City, the initiative gained momentum, leading to the sustainable protection of communities by actively engaging youth. Although face-to-face operations were limited due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ligtas Philippines continued its projects at a smaller scale, such as Oplan Pag-Asa, which provided food and support to frontliners. Its flagship project, the LIGTAS App, was launched in 2021 to uphold its commitment to community safety.

Additionally, the initiative offers educational webinars through its #SaveALife Webinar Series, covering topics such as Fire Safety and Prevention. With LIGTAS Philippines, safety is just a touch away
