About TAHDCO
TAHDCO, or Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing & Development Corporation, was established in 1974 under the Companies Act, 1956. With contributions from both the Government of Tamil Nadu and the Government of India, TAHDCO operates with an authorized share capital of Rs. 200 crore.
Initially a construction-focused entity, TAHDCO has expanded its mission to include a range of economic development schemes aimed at uplifting Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in the state. The corporation's main activities involve implementing welfare schemes, offering skill development training, and undertaking various construction projects as directed by the government. TAHDCO boasts a robust organizational structure, consisting of a development wing with 38 district offices and a construction wing with 10 divisions located across key cities such as Chennai, Vellore, and Coimbatore.
