TaiBIF

TaiBIF, the Taiwan Biodiversity Information Facility, supports the opening, sharing, and use of biodiversity data in Taiwan. It helps organizations publish data and makes information easier for researchers, educators, and the public to discover and apply. The platform provides guidance on data publication, practical tools, support, frequently asked questions, and monthly updates on publishing activity. Users can explore open-data learning resources, including online teaching materials, and take part in workshops, contributor training, and community activities.

TaiBIF also helps people find biodiversity datasets and learn how they are used through examples, publications, data products, and the TaiBIF API. Its website features news, events, and accessible science articles, alongside statistics on species occurrence records, datasets, species coverage, publishing organizations, and Taiwanese data applications. By connecting data providers and users, TaiBIF promotes collaboration and broadens access to biodiversity information. It also shares updates through an occasional newsletter covering activities and developments in open-data applications.
