Association JIN offers tai chi chuan and qigong classes in La Rochelle, Île de Ré and Surgères, as well as online. Its programme includes Yang Jwing Ming-style tai chi, sword forms, breathing techniques and classes for different experience levels. Led by Laurent Perron and a team of instructors, the association welcomes students, adults and seniors, with trial sessions available.

JIN combines traditional practice with a health-focused approach informed by biomechanics and anatomy. Since 2012, it has worked with medical professionals to explore tai chi’s potential role in cardiology, rheumatology and cancer care. Adapted classes support people living with chronic conditions or treatment-related challenges, including fatigue and mobility limitations. Some sessions are offered through partnerships with healthcare services, including the ISCM and Clinique de l’Atlantique.

The association also provides private lessons and professional training for sports and adapted physical activity practitioners. Supported by regional and departmental partners, JIN is part of Nouvelle-Aquitaine’s sport-on-prescription programme. Annual membership includes in-person and online classes, with reduced or supported fees available for some participants.
