About Regional Animal Services of King County
**Brand Description: Regional Animal Services of King County (RASKC)**
Regional Animal Services of King County (RASKC) is dedicated to enhancing the welfare of animals throughout King County, Washington. Established as a partnership in 2010, following the legacy of King County Animal Control, RASKC serves nearly one million residents across 24 cities. With a commitment to improving animal outcomes, RASKC has dramatically increased the number of animals rehomed each year, providing essential services to the community since its reorganization in 2008.
RASKC operates an extensive animal care and control program, licensing over 100,000 dogs and cats annually, with license fees directly supporting the sheltering and care of homeless pets. Covering an area larger than Rhode Island, RASKC’s dedicated animal services officers promote responsible pet ownership while rescuing and rehoming thousands of animals each year through their Pet Adoption Center. Through community engagement and educational initiatives, RASKC fosters a compassionate and responsible approach to animal welfare in the region.
