About Takatoat
Takatoat is an independent feminist collective based in Jordan. Led by a group of passionate feminist activists, their mission is to spread feminist knowledge, establish safe spaces for women and girls, and support their solidarity and struggle against patriarchal culture and norms. Takatoat is committed to enhancing the effective participation of women in all sectors and ensuring their enjoyment of rights, protection from gender-based violence, and access to freedom, justice, and equality.
They offer a range of services and initiatives, including webinars and online live discussions where experts and activists gather to address the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on different groups of women in Jordan. Additionally, Takatoat conducts research and produces policy papers on important topics such as menstrual hygiene management and access in Jordan. Their values of love, accountability, resistance, and respect guide their work, and their vision is to create diverse communities that are conscious of their issues and enjoy justice, safety, freedom, and sustainability.
