Kita Nikko Takatsue Snow Resort is a ski destination in Minamiaizu, Fukushima Prefecture, operated by DMC Aizu. Located about 200 minutes from the Tokyo metropolitan area, it is known for its light, fine powder snow, especially during the peak season from January through February. The resort’s long, vertically arranged slopes offer substantial distance and elevation change, with panoramic views that include Japan’s celebrated mountain landscapes.
A range of courses caters to beginners, families, experienced skiers and athletes. Visitors can enjoy powder areas, challenging mogul runs, and slope-style features, as well as a halfpipe approximately four metres high. Some courses are used for athlete training and competitions, while terrain park features offer options for different ability levels. The resort also provides ski and snowboard rentals, lessons, lift tickets, restaurants and on-site facilities. Its website offers course and slope information, access details, event updates, and guidance about hotels and hot springs in the area.
