ActionOnRadon

Take Action on Radon is a dedicated initiative focused on combating the dangers of radon, an invisible radioactive gas linked to lung cancer, particularly in non-smokers. Funded by Health Canada, this program emphasizes the importance of testing homes across Canada for elevated radon levels. They provide resources for consumers, including easy-to-use radon test kits, guidelines for interpreting results, and connections to certified radon measurement professionals.

The initiative also offers a range of educational resources, including information on health effects, frequently asked questions, and support for homeowners, schools, and contractors. The 100 Radon Test Kit Challenge aims to encourage communities to participate in testing, with the goal of reducing radon exposure and enhancing indoor air quality. With special campaigns such as Radon Action Month, Take Action on Radon strives to raise awareness and promote proactive measures against radon risk, ensuring that Canadians can live in safer environments.
