Take Flight Aviation is a flying club and flight-training provider offering flying lessons, pilot training and light aircraft hire. Based at Wellesbourne Airfield, it operates a private, non-equity aircraft syndicate centred on a Cessna 172 Skyhawk. Members pay a monthly subscription for aircraft access and are charged separately for the fuel and oil they use. A self-service booking system provides members with aircraft access 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with support available during office hours. Bookings, maintenance schedules and payments are managed through Plogbook.
The club provides access to instructors for renewals, revalidations, check-out flights and additional ratings, helping pilots maintain or extend their flying qualifications. Its membership model offers an alternative to aircraft ownership and equity-based groups. Take Flight Aviation has operated since 2006 and previously ran a flying club at Wellesbourne Mountford Airfield, serving more than 300 members with a fleet of 16 aircraft. The community also hosts fly-outs and events, and shares aviation videos through its Cockpit Conversations series and YouTube channel.
