About Miki T
Miki T is a brand that specializes in retail branding and interior architecture design. Founded by Mikki Tam, a US-trained creative professional with extensive international experience, the brand offers a range of products and services that cater to a variety of needs. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Otis College of Art & Design and a Master of Interior Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design, Mikki brings a unique perspective to her work.
With over 20 years of experience in directing creative projects for global brands and Fortune 500 companies such as Nike, Proctor & Gamble, Nokia, and Bank of America, Mikki emphasizes critical thinking, design-thinking, and user-experience in her practices. Additionally, she has a lifelong passion for arts and crafts, particularly Japanese ceramics and kintsugi. Inspired by her relocation to Tokyo and interactions with Japanese artisans, Mikki launched Taketombo Corporation, a social innovation enterprise aimed at driving social impact through creativity.
In 2020, she also launched Goenne. com, which tells artisans' stories and promotes artisanal utilitarian objects. Based in Fukuoka, Japan, Miki T actively works towards revitalizing traditional craftsmanship and fostering connections between global creators and Japanese manufacturers
