Taksi Mertsi

Mestari Taksit Oy, formerly known as Taksi Mertsi, is a taxi company founded in 2014 and based in Polvijärvi, North Karelia. From the beginning with one vehicle, the business has grown to operate a fleet of seven taxis, serving customers primarily in Polvijärvi, Outokumpu and Joensuu, with rides also available farther afield. The company provides traditional taxi services for individuals and businesses, as well as school transport, Kela-reimbursed journeys, MYK transport and other contract services.

Its fleet includes accessible vehicles equipped for wheelchair and stretcher transport, alongside passenger-car taxis. Mestari Taksit emphasizes clean, well-equipped vehicles, comfortable journeys and professional, customer-focused service. Customers can request assistance or discuss specific travel needs in advance. Rides can be booked by phone or WhatsApp, while advance requests can also be sent by email. Kela taxi journeys are ordered through the designated Menevä Oy booking number, with the option to request a familiar driver by providing that driver’s identifier. Since early 2025, the business has continued as Mestari Taksit Oy, with its operations unchanged.
