Taliritanzania

The Tanzania Livestock Research Institute (TALIRI) is a government research institution in the United Republic of Tanzania, headquartered in Dodoma. It conducts and shares research to support livestock development, with work spanning cattle, buffalo, goats, sheep, poultry, pigs and other animals. Its research also covers animal feed and pasture, as well as social and economic issues, including gender, the environment and animal welfare. TALIRI operates regional centres across the country and provides research information through publications, public updates, videos and other resources.

The institute offers consultancy and advisory services for livestock keepers, training, laboratory services, and access to farm machinery and equipment through rental. Its research outputs and featured products include dairy and beef cattle, dairy and meat goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, ducks, rabbits and donkeys, along with animal feed and pasture materials.
