Talvik is an AI infrastructure company developing an open foundation for portable, governed context across AI tools, models, and agents. Its central project, MAK4I, is an open, MIT-licensed protocol for representing, discovering, exchanging, versioning, and reusing knowledge and artifacts. These can include architecture decisions, requirements, research, specifications, prompts, workflows, templates, and their history and provenance. The goal is to help teams check for useful existing context before recreating it when they change tools or systems.

MAK4I has a working reference implementation available in an access-controlled Developer Preview. It supports creating, retrieving, searching, and superseding artifacts, with version history, lineage, provenance, and organization and project authorization boundaries. MCP is one integration path in the preview, while the protocol remains tool-neutral and independently implementable.

Talvik’s planned commercial direction includes managed hosting, governance and administration, observability, enterprise integrations, and private or hybrid deployment options. These capabilities are in development and are not generally available; Talvik reports no product revenue, production integrations, or enterprise deployments today.
