About TamarEnergyCommunity
Tamar Energy Community is a brand that focuses on localizing energy for the benefit of the community. With households in the Tavistock area spending £16 million per year on heating and powering their homes, Tamar Energy Community aims to reduce this expenditure by making homes and businesses more energy-efficient. They also strive to generate more energy locally through micro-renewables, encouraging individuals to invest in renewable energy sources at home or work.
Tamar Energy Community believes in the power of collective investment and offers opportunities for the community to come together and invest in schemes that deliver local benefits. They also explore new possibilities for local supply, distribution, and flexibility services. In addition to addressing energy issues, Tamar Energy Community is committed to tackling fuel poverty in the area to ensure that everyone can enjoy a warm and comfortable home.
