Tamar Lelkes Oded

Root to Rise Lactation is a South Jersey practice founded by Tamar Oded, who provides in-home lactation and new-parent support. Oded holds a master’s degree, is a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist and Postpartum Doula, and is an IBCLC candidate. Drawing on her experience as a mother of three and a longtime nonprofit professional, she takes an inclusive, community-minded approach to supporting families through pregnancy and the postpartum period. Her philosophy is to meet new parents where they are and make support accessible to every family.

Root to Rise offers lactation guidance and postpartum support, alongside local services and educational programs. These include Mother’s Blessing ceremonies, prenatal and new-parent classes, and family herbalism classes. The practice also offers small-batch herbal remedies and shares articles through its blog. With an emphasis on connection, learning, and practical care, Root to Rise helps families find support as they navigate feeding, recovery, and the transition to parenthood.
