Tampa Bay Captain

Tampa Bay Captain is a guided fishing charter service led by Captain Mike Turner, a third-generation Tampa Bay native with more than 30 years of fishing experience. The service welcomes anglers of all skill levels, from visitors seeking a day on the water to experienced fishers, and is kid-friendly, with Captain Mike happy to teach children how to catch fish.

Charters focus on inshore, flats, and nearshore fishing around the Tampa Bay area, with offshore trips also described among the available fishing experiences. Depending on the season and anglers’ preferences, trips may target inshore species such as snook, redfish, sea trout, and tarpon, or nearshore fish including grouper, snapper, permit, cobia, and king mackerel. Captain Mike typically catches fresh live bait before guests arrive, helping trips get underway at the first fishing spot.

The boat is a spacious 24-foot Privateer Renegade with a full tower, suited to fishing in backwater areas and traveling miles offshore. The website also features fishing reports, trip information, and booking options.
