Tampere Trail Running

Tampere Trail Running is a welcoming trail-running community based in Pirkanmaa, Finland, bringing together runners of all ages, backgrounds and experience levels. Its aim is to inspire and support people interested in the sport and make it easier for everyone to get involved. The community promotes trail running through group runs, events, race trips and practical information about local routes and climbs.

Activities include guided and social runs, training opportunities, courses and events for both beginners and experienced runners. The website also features route suggestions across the region, helping members discover forests, varied terrain and new challenges. Participation is open to all, while Pirkanmaan Polkujuoksu ry supports the community’s activities and event organisation. Membership helps fund this work and offers benefits such as partner offers, access to group coaching, early event registration, members-only activities and team apparel. Tampere Trail Running also provides clothing for training and races. The community shares event information primarily through its Facebook group and encourages runners to connect, explore local trails and enjoy the social side of the sport.
