Tampico Historical Society

Welcome to the Tampico Area Historical Society, the birthplace of President Ronald Reagan and Admiral Joseph Reeves. As the Family History Coordinator and your host, Denise McLoughlin, my goal is to provide you with a wealth of historical, genealogical, and local information about the Tampico, Yorktown, Thomas, Hume, and Deer Grove areas. Our website offers thousands of pages filled with free information, photos, and archives.

If you're researching your family history in this area, head over to our message board, where our helpful community members can assist you. Additionally, we offer free access to the archives at the Tampico Area Historical Society & Museum. We're continually updating our site, so make sure to check back often.

Our ongoing cemetery projects are a point of pride for us. You can find indices for the cemeteries in our area on our Table of Contents page, complete with photos and bios of each individual. If you have any additional information or corrections, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Join the Tampico Area Historical Society & Museum to support our organization and have access to even more resources. We're open by appointment or by chance, and tours of the Reagan Birthplace are also available. Schedule a visit with us in advance to ensure that someone will be there to assist you.

Donations are always appreciated, as we are an all-volunteer organization. For more updates, sign up for our free newsletter or connect with us on Facebook. Thank you for visiting the Tampico Area Historical Society, where the past comes alive
