Tandem Studio

Tandem Studio is a design studio and furniture workshop based in Murnau am Staffelsee, south of Munich. Founded on the complementary disciplines of furniture design and architecture, the studio creates considered solutions for both interiors and the furnishings within them. After a decade of work in England, Tandem Studio moved to Murnau in 2018 and now serves clients in the Munich region and beyond.

The studio offers interior design and custom furniture making, managing projects from initial concepts and sketches through design, production and completion. Its own workshop enables the team to manufacture its designs and oversee each stage of development, with careful attention to detail and quality. Work ranges from individual pieces to larger projects for private clients, businesses and architects. Examples include fitted wardrobes, kitchens, staircases, bathrooms, hallways, bedrooms, workspaces and broader interior fit-outs. Tandem Studio develops designs in close collaboration with clients, aiming for spaces and furniture that suit how people live and work. Its approach values timeless design that is attractive, functional and enjoyable to use.
