TangoTube is an innovative platform dedicated to enhancing the discovery of tango videos, designed for enthusiasts of this passionate dance. Launched during the COVID-19 quarantine by developer Justin Marsh, TangoTube offers a unique search experience, allowing users to filter videos by various criteria including genre (Tango, Milonga, Vals), leader and follower names, orchestras, and performance years.
The platform features improved filtering and search capabilities, enabling users to easily navigate through extensive video collections, which can often exceed 1,000 videos for a single dancer. Users benefit from dynamically updated search results, consistently formatted video descriptions, and rich song information that includes details about orchestras, genres, recording dates, and lyrics.
TangoTube also encourages community involvement by allowing users to edit and contribute to the database, fostering a collaborative environment. With options to search, watch, and share videos, TangoTube strives to connect dancers and enrich their tango experience while continuously evolving based on user feedback.
