Tanguear

Tanguear is a free app that brings the tango community together, connecting dancers, organisers, teachers, musicians, orchestras and DJs. Available for iOS and Android, it also supports iPad and Android tablets and offers its interface in Italian, English, Spanish, German and French. Users can create a tango profile, follow friends and artists, join city chats and groups, and connect with potential dance partners or local hosts while travelling.

The app helps people discover milongas, festivals, prácticas, marathons, schools and orchestras through an interactive map, searchable listings and a calendar. Users can book events in two taps, access tickets offline and check in with a QR code. Organisers can promote recurring nights and manage ticketing, while teachers and schools can share course details and accept bookings. Musicians and orchestras can showcase recordings and merchandise, and DJs can present their musical style and tandas. Tanguear also lets users save events, receive reminders and review nights they attend. As of August 2026, the platform reports more than 12,400 tangueros across 51 cities.
