Tannay

Tannay is a family-run restaurant from the Caron family, located in a historic canal house on Zandhoek in Amsterdam. The restaurant welcomes guests with warm hospitality and serves classical French cuisine shaped by contemporary finesse. Chef Thomas Demuth draws on his Burgundian roots and experience in leading restaurants, working with seasonal ingredients to create dishes grounded in tradition and given Tannay’s own modern touch.

Guests can choose from an à la carte selection or a multi-course chef’s menu, with seasonal offerings featuring ingredients such as game, mushrooms, chestnuts and root vegetables. A carefully selected wine list highlights Burgundy, the Loire and Champagne. Tannay also offers the option to dine at the kitchen counter, a semi-private dining space for groups of up to 16, and a spacious summer terrace beside an old drawbridge.

The restaurant serves lunch and dinner on weekends, and dinner from Wednesday to Friday. It can accommodate many allergies and dietary preferences when advised in advance. Payments are by card only; cash is not accepted
