Tante Fred

Tante Fred provides professional coaching and guidance for children, young people, families, and education professionals in Baarn and the surrounding educational setting. Founded by Frederike van den Steene, the practice takes a personal, tailored approach, focusing on each child’s, family’s, pupil’s, or classroom team’s individual needs. Support is grounded in knowledge, trust, and connection, with the aim of developing practical approaches that fit the situation.

Services include coaching for children, young people, and parents, with guidance around emotional development, self-confidence, and related aspects of growing up and parenting. Tante Fred also offers mobile educational support in mainstream and specialised education, both in the classroom and beyond. For teachers and pedagogical staff, the practice provides help to understand children’s behaviour, strengthen their skills, and develop effective ways of responding. The website offers practical information about getting started and invites prospective clients to make contact to discuss their questions and explore whether the available support is suitable. Tante Fred also notes a preference for working with pictograms as part of its approach.
