Flora of Tanzania is an online botanical information resource maintained by the Tanzania flora team. It documents the flowering plants and ferns of Tanzania, helping visitors explore the country’s plant diversity through botanical information, species pages, family lists and checklists. The site also provides a plant-name search, a glossary and abbreviations, and information on cultivated plants. Supporting resources cover locations, herbaria, expeditions and projects, insects, literature, people, notes and distinctive plant characteristics. Visitors can consult frequently asked questions, acknowledgements and the site’s history, as well as browse recently updated species pages to find new or revised content.

Flora of Tanzania is part of a wider collection of online African floras. Its related resources include e-floras for countries and regions covered by Flora Zambesiaca, along with sister sites for Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda. The broader database also includes floras for Angola, Kenya and Uganda. The team notes that coverage for newly added countries is initially limited and is being expanded over time.
