Taos Alive

Taos Alive is a community coalition serving children, youth, young adults, and residents of Taos County, New Mexico. Its work focuses on preventing and reducing substance misuse and its consequences through education, youth empowerment, prevention and intervention resources, and positive community engagement. The coalition brings together individuals, nonprofit organizations, public and private agencies, and government partners to support a healthier, drug-free community.

Taos Alive offers information and resources on substance prevention, overdose prevention, recovery, emergency contacts, and prescription drug disposal. Its youth-focused activities include mentorship and opportunities for positive involvement, while parents and community members can access educational materials and connect with coalition initiatives. The organization also encourages residents to join its community coalition and collaborate on local strategies.

Taos Alive aims to strengthen partnerships across Taos County, address community factors that can increase the risk of substance misuse, and promote protective factors that support young people. Through coordinated efforts, it seeks to reduce substance use among youth and help prevent substance abuse among adults over time.
