TAPATOUDI

TAPATOUDI is a French association dedicated to children’s and young people’s literature, based in Pézenas. Through year-round activities, it connects children, families, schools, authors and illustrators with books and creative storytelling. Its programme includes monthly meetings for school classes, with seasonal registration information, as well as events that encourage young readers to explore literature and the arts.

The association’s best-known event is its children’s literature festival, featuring a book fair, book sales and signings, opportunities to meet invited authors and illustrators, performances, games and hands-on workshops. Activities have included family drawing and painting, illustration, watercolour, poetry and comic-character creation, with sessions designed for different ages. TAPATOUDI also shares festival programmes and information about its guests, and offers online membership as well as traditional sign-up options. Its work is supported by volunteers and partners, and the association invites authors and illustrators to connect and participate. By combining reading, artistic discovery and shared experiences, TAPATOUDI helps make children’s literature accessible and engaging for its local community.
