Tar Heel Classic Race

Tar Heel Classic Race LLC organizes the Tar Heel Classic One Loft Race, an annual pigeon racing event that brings together breeders to compete in a five-race series. The race is designed for birds housed and cared for at the event’s facility, where the team provides training and support throughout the season. Birds race from south to north along Interstate 95, with a final race tentatively scheduled for November 30, 2026; dates are subject to change.

The event advertises $300,000 in prizes based on 1,000 paid activation fees, 100 final-race prizes, and Ace Pigeon awards. Participants pay a per-bird perch fee upon arrival and an activation fee after the 100-mile activation.
