TarHunt is a firearms and ammunition brand specializing in bolt-action slug guns, rifles, and products for hunting and shooting. Since 1993, the company has sold its bolt-action slug guns in the United States and markets in Europe, Africa, and Japan. TarHunt has also built guns for Remington, Winchester, Federal, Marlin, and some international slug-ammunition manufacturers.
Its RSG series of slug guns uses a custom, two-lug, controlled-feed bolt-action design developed for slug shooting. The range includes the stainless-steel Mountaineer RSG-20ga, while TarHunt also offers Savage 220 barrel upgrades and information about barrel conversions. Its ammunition selection includes 20-gauge copper slugs in several configurations, including NeoTec FLC and Schrifle products, along with other hunting and specialty ammunition.
The website also features used guns, shooting resources, slug history and wind-drift information, videos, and articles. Customers can place orders by phone; online ordering is not currently available. Visits for product pickup are by appointment only. The company is based in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania.
