TarmacView is an aviation analytics platform that uses drones to inspect civil and military airfields. Its services are designed to help airports verify lighting and other airfield conditions without closing runways, with inspections planned around aircraft movements. The flagship service measures and calibrates Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) lights, including their angles, positions, beam transitions and colour. Other lighting inspections cover runway edge, approach, threshold and end, centreline, and taxiway lights, with individual units measured or checked as applicable.
TarmacView also provides automated flight planning, inspection templates, airfield safety-zone management and a field hub for transferring missions and captured media over a local network without internet access. Its reports combine measurements, RTK positioning data and photogrammetric evidence, compare results with applicable tolerances, and are generated the same day. The platform references ICAO standards, including Doc 9157 and Annex 14, and supports reporting for authorities such as ICAO, EASA and FAA. Pavement, obstacle-clearance and surface-survey capabilities are listed as in development.
