Tarmforeningen

CCF – Foreningen for tarmsyge, also known as Tarmforeningen, is a Danish association working toward a future with fewer intestinal diseases and better quality of life for everyone affected. Its work focuses on raising awareness, reducing stigma, supporting research, and improving information and advice for people with bowel conditions and their families. The association covers conditions including Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, bile acid diarrhoea, microscopic colitis, and diverticular disease.

Tarmforeningen offers practical and peer-based support through its advice line, social worker, local branches, and patient community. Its social worker provides guidance on social benefits, support schemes, and navigating the healthcare system, while trained advisers share understanding and experience without diagnosing or replacing medical care. Members and the wider public can also access courses, events, family and youth activities, podcasts, magazines, information booklets, and research opportunities. Membership, donations, and other forms of support help the association strengthen research, provide guidance, and foster community.
