Tassutuki

Tassutuki creates custom support devices to help dogs move comfortably and maintain their wellbeing, and can also make supports for cats’ paws. Each device is made to the individual animal’s measurements or a plaster model, rather than relying on standard sizes that may not fit a pet’s unique limb shape. The design is planned in consultation with the owner and veterinarian, taking the animal’s mobility and temperament into account.

Supports may be intended for temporary or ongoing use, including after an accident or surgery, to protect a painful limb, support weakened joints, or prevent or slow the development of joint-position problems. A suitable support may also be considered as an alternative to limb surgery or amputation. Tassutuki emphasizes a secure fit and careful padding to help the device work as intended while protecting delicate skin from rubbing and chafing.

The service is led by assistive-device technician Sari, who welcomes questions about support options. Tassutuki also shares updates and examples of its work through Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube
