Taste Asia is a Halifax waterfront food and cultural festival that brings together Asian flavours, arts, and community. Open to all ages and free to enter, the event welcomes families, friends, and visitors to discover the traditions, businesses, and creative talent that enrich the local community. Its 2026 festival runs September 10–13 at Salter Lot on Lower Water Street.
Visitors can explore the Vendor Village, featuring food and drinks, handmade crafts, art, accessories, and lifestyle products from Asian-owned businesses and local creators. The program also includes live music, cultural performances representing more than 10 Asian cultures, games, and prizes, with a portion of game-zone proceeds supporting the IWK Foundation’s Children’s Services Fund. The Demo Kitchen hosts local chefs presenting Asian-inspired creations and ticketed VIP masterclasses, while hands-on workshops invite guests to try crafts inspired by Asian art and traditions. A beer garden operated by Garrison Brewing offers drinks to guests aged 19 and older.
