Tangata Atumotu Trust | Christchurch is Canterbury's longest-standing Pasifika provider, dedicated to supporting our community in leading healthy and independent lives. With a deep understanding of our community's specific needs, we recognize the complex barriers that hinder optimal health outcomes, encompassing various health, social, and economic factors. That's why we work collaboratively with multiple sectors to shape the well-being of our community.

Originally established as the Pacific Community Health Project Incorporated (PCHPI) in May 2000, our organization evolved from a healthcare project for the Pacific Island community within Christchurch. In 2003, we became Tangata Atumotu Trust (TAT), meaning People from the Islands, as we sought to maintain autonomy while fostering strategic connections with the Union and Community Health Centre (UCHC). Today, we proudly stand as a founding member of the Canterbury Community Primary Health organization (CCPHO).
