Taupō Marist

TDS Taupō Marist Rugby Club is a community-focused rugby organisation based in Taupō, New Zealand. A proud member of the King Country Rugby Union, the club welcomes players and supporters of different ages and abilities, guided by hard work, respect, dedication and inclusiveness. Its activities bring together grassroots sport, personal development and local community connection.

The club’s teams include Premier, junior, Presidents’ and women’s rugby, with junior participation growing since the programme began in 2019. The Premier team provides a pathway for players moving on from high school into senior club rugby, while junior teams compete in local and Marist events. The Presidents’ team, formed in 2025, reflects the club’s continued growth.

Taupō Marist traces its roots to a Marist team established in 1986 and was re-established as Taupō Marist Inc. in 2019. The club shares fixtures and updates, recognises its sponsors and honours its rugby heritage. It invites people to join, support local teams or become a sponsor, helping sustain rugby and strengthen connections across the Taupō community.
