With a membership base of 4,200 individual breeders and other industry participants, TBA plays a vital role in supporting and advancing the second largest thoroughbred breeding industry in the world.

Australia boasts a remarkable number of mares (21,500) and stallions (700) that surpasses those in other established breeding countries such as the UK, Ireland, Japan, and New Zealand. TBA is also the parent company of the six state breeders' associations, further solidifying their commitment to the industry.
