Tooro Botanical Gardens (TBG), established in 2001, serves as Uganda's premier living museum dedicated to the preservation of biodiversity and ecological research. Nestled at the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains in Fort Portal, TBG showcases an impressive array of living plant collections native to the unique Albertine Rift. The gardens feature specialized areas including an Arboretum, Medicinal Plants Garden, and Edible Plants Garden, among others, offering a rich educational experience for visitors.
