The TB Think Tank (TB TT), established in 2014 at the 4th South African TB Conference, aims to enhance the government’s response to tuberculosis (TB) in South Africa. This national network of TB experts collaborates closely with the National Department of Health (NDoH) to inform and guide evidence-based TB prevention and control policies. Comprised of over 120 members, including health practitioners, researchers, and organizations from various sectors, TB TT addresses critical TB-related issues through Executive Committees and Technical Task Teams.

The vision of TB Think Tank is a South Africa free from the burden of TB, achieved through innovative strategies in TB management. Its mission focuses on leveraging national expertise to reduce TB incidence and mortality rates significantly. Key services include synthesizing vital research, developing policy briefs, and conducting annual stakeholder meetings. By fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders, TB TT plays a pivotal role in shaping effective TB strategies and enhancing public health outcomes across the nation.
