The Train Collectors Association Western Division is a Southern California club dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of tinplate toy trains and encouraging the enjoyment of collecting and operating toy, model, and scale trains. Part of the national Train Collectors Association, established in 1954, the division has more than 200 members and welcomes enthusiasts and their families.
The club holds regular train meets at the Arcadia Community Center, bringing collectors together for fellowship, trading, displays, and an operating layout. Members in good standing can use trading tables at no charge, while non-members may attend one meet per year for free. Meets also feature a free repair clinic and occasional auctions. Collectors can bring vintage trains and accessories for help with servicing, selling, or finding them a new home.
The division also offers a limited-edition O-gauge Union Pacific flat car with two 1:43-scale Broguiere’s Dairy DIVCO vans. Its resources include membership information, collecting tips, grading standards, newsletters, club history, layout videos, and information for young train enthusiasts.
