O Tribunal de Contas do Estado de Pernambuco é um órgão público com autonomia administrativa e financeira em relação aos Três Poderes (Legislativo, Executivo e Judiciário). Embora muitos pensem se tratar de um órgão do Poder Legislativo, sua função é a de auxiliar o Legislativo no controle externo de toda a Administração Pública. Também não pertence ao Poder Judiciário, apesar de o termo "Tribunal" fazer parte de seu nome. A ele cabe a fiscalização da aplicação de todo o dinheiro público pertencente ao estado e aos municípios de Pernambuco.

About TCE-PE
The Tribunal de Contas do Estado de Pernambuco is a public institution with administrative and financial autonomy regarding the Three Powers (Legislative, Executive, and Judiciary). Similarly, it is not part of the Judiciary, although the term "Tribunal" is in its name.
