TeachingSexualHealth is an innovative website developed by Alberta educators and health professionals. Our mission is to help teachers, educators, and parents achieve excellence in teaching sexual health. We offer up-to-date, evidence-based information and strategies for parents and teachers to deliver effective sexual health education.

Our approach is rooted in Health Canada's guidelines, which emphasize accessibility and age-appropriate, culturally sensitive education. We believe that sexual health education should honor the self-worth and dignity of individuals, without discrimination. With a lifespan approach, our resources provide information, motivational support, and skill-building opportunities relevant to people of all ages.

We emphasize the impact of one's behavior on others and stress the importance of respect for oneself and others. We are grateful to the teachers, educators, parents, and students who contributed their ideas to the development of our resources. We also acknowledge the valuable contributions of Alberta Health Services staff.

Join us in building strong, positive, and healthy relationships, as we work towards a society that embraces sexual health for all
