Teak & Twine is a woodworking and weaving studio, workshop space, and shop on Charoenrat Road in Chiang Mai, near the Ping River. Founded in 2014 by woodworker Pim Suwannakij and weaver Anucha Boonmee, it offers hands-on craft experiences in small groups of up to six, with tools and materials provided. Beginners are welcome, and participants take their finished work home the same day.

Workshops include carving a serving spoon from reclaimed teak, learning frame-loom weaving with Northern Thai cotton, dyeing yarn with natural materials such as indigo and mango bark, and building a three-legged teak stool. Small-group bookings for families, birthdays, and teams are also available by arrangement. The studio’s shop carries one-off pieces and small production runs, including teak bowls, stools and spoons, handwoven cotton textiles, and plant-dyed yarn. Teak & Twine emphasizes slow, hands-on making and materials with a history: reclaimed timber and locally sourced cotton. Open Tuesday through Sunday, the studio welcomes visitors to learn, make, and explore traditional craft in a working space.
