TEAL is building an observation and data infrastructure designed to turn ecosystem measurements into ecological intelligence. The company addresses a growing need to understand nature for planning, investment, operations, and risk management. Its approach complements existing sources—including satellite and aerial remote sensing, LiDAR, government land and climate records, research datasets, and operational records—with proprietary ground observations. These observations are intended to fill critical gaps, particularly in understanding ecological processes beneath vegetation and at ground level, where other data sources may provide limited insight.

TEAL’s work focuses on generating better observations and richer ecological datasets that can support a deeper understanding of nature. The resulting information is intended to provide a foundation for decisions across several sectors. Governments may use ecological intelligence for planning, resource management, and resilience; industry for operations, supply chains, and risk; and capital markets for investment, valuation, and allocation. Through this infrastructure, TEAL aims to make ecological information more useful and accessible for decisions involving ecosystems.
