Team Haifisch

Team Haifisch is a swimming school in Mainz focused on helping children learn to swim safely and enjoy their time in the water. Its approach combines small learning groups, close supervision and qualified instructors, including experienced school and sports teachers and students specializing in sports education. The school aims to build confidence and practical swimming ability, while supporting children who wish to earn swimming badges.

Courses include beginner Seepferdchen classes for children aged five and older, with separate levels for newcomers and those with some prior experience. Lessons introduce water movement and basic strokes, progressing toward independent swimming and the Seepferdchen badge. For children who already have the Seepferdchen and can swim two lengths of 25 metres, Team Haifisch offers a Bronze course focused on improving technique and building endurance. A Seeräuber or pirate group is also integrated for children working toward that badge.

Courses take place on Saturday mornings at the Theresianum swimming pool in Mainz.
