Team Henri

Team Henri is a volunteer cycling team and nonprofit association based in Beersel, Belgium, dedicated to supporting Kom op tegen Kanker, an organisation working to advance cancer research, treatment and care. The team takes part in the 1000 km cycling event, bringing together riders and supporters to raise funds and awareness. For its 2027 edition, Team Henri plans to field six teams and cycle a total of 6,000 kilometres.

The group raises money through direct donations to Kom op tegen Kanker and a programme of community events. Its activities include a Christmas market stall, a fundraising dinner featuring meat and vegetarian dishes, charity quizzes and an annual party. The proceeds from these initiatives support the team’s participation in the cycling event and the wider cancer-fighting cause. Team Henri highlights that gifts made directly through Kom op tegen Kanker go entirely to the charity, and donations of at least €40 per year may be tax-deductible.
