Team Herning is a Danish cycling project that uses sport, shared effort, and personal support to help young people facing challenges in everyday life build confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging. Its central goal is a week-long ride from Herning to Paris, reached after more than a year of training and preparation. The journey is designed as much for personal development as for physical achievement, bringing young riders and adults together in a committed, supportive community.

Participants train together once or twice a week and attend several training weekends. Young riders are selected in collaboration with schools in Herning Municipality, while adults apply to join as riders or support-team members. Volunteers contribute their time and skills to help make the project possible, and sponsors can support its work. Team Herning also shares practical information, activity calendars, news, and details about past and future rides, including its planned 2027 Paris journey.
