Team Hoyt Denver is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit that promotes inclusive racing across the Denver metro area and Colorado Front Range. The organization pairs rider athletes—people with disabilities who race in specialized wheelchairs—with trained runner athletes who push their chairs and share the experience of crossing the finish line. Its mission is to empower people with disabilities through running and ensure that everyone can take part.

Rider athletes can join the roster and participate in races at no cost. Runner athletes, volunteers, families, sponsors, and donors can contribute by racing, helping on event day, cheering from the course, or supporting the organization’s work. Donations help fund racing wheelchairs, race registrations, hospitality, uniforms, and other needs behind each event.

Team Hoyt Denver’s calendar includes 13 races in 2026, with distances ranging from 5K to marathon. The team serves 35 rider athletes and welcomes new participants and supporters. Inspired by the legacy of Rick and Dick Hoyt, Team Hoyt Denver is a separate legal entity from Team Hoyt and The Hoyt Foundation, Inc.
