Team Marathon is a new kind of running event, bringing a social, festival-style take on the marathon to London. Teams of four cover the full 26. 2 miles, with each runner completing an equal leg of roughly 6.
55 miles. Unlike a traditional relay, everyone starts together and can run at their own pace and in their own way; the team’s time is calculated by adding the four legs together. The event is designed for experienced runners and newcomers alike, with no marathon background required.
Scheduled for 22 May 2027 in East London, Team Marathon combines the run with an afternoon of entertainment and celebration. The course is planned to feature cheer zones, brass bands, music stages and DJs, while the finish area will bring teams together for food, drinks and a post-race beer. Street food and offerings from London food and drink spots are part of the experience.
Tickets are offered for teams, with individual tickets and team matching planned for solo runners
