"An Bunachar Náisiúnta Téarmaíochta don Ghaeilge" is the National Terminology Database for Irish, managed by the research group Gaois, Fiontar & Scoil na Gaeilge (DCU) in collaboration with the Terminology Committee of Foras na Gaeilge. With approximately 186,000 bilingual entries, the database allows users to explore terms in various ways and download content in TBX or TXT formats. The website offers information on how to navigate the site efficiently.
If a term is not found in the database, users can request its addition to the Terminology Committee, Foras na Gaeilge, by filling out a specific form. The project is currently in Phase VII, initiated in 2004, with a new website and editing system launched on March 14, 2019. The platform, built on Terminologue, serves as an open-source resource developed by Gaois for the National Terminology Database and other projects.
