Technologiestiftung Brandenburg

The Technologiestiftung Brandenburg is a foundation dedicated to advancing science and research, with a particular focus on innovative technologies. Working closely with institutions and partners in Berlin and Brandenburg, it supports research and development that generates new scientific knowledge and practical technologies for products, processes and services. The foundation also promotes cooperation and the transfer of technology and knowledge between innovative businesses and research institutions across Brandenburg.

Its activities include organizing and funding collaborative projects with companies conducting research into innovative technologies, as well as education and professional development initiatives. Key projects include the Brandenburger Innovationspreis, a competition that highlights the region’s innovation potential and recognizes the role of sustainable innovation in future employment and prosperity. The foundation also supports Jugend forscht Brandenburg, which holds regional and state-level competitions for young people across fields including mathematics, science, technology and the working world.

Through its project funding, the foundation prioritizes initiatives that strengthen technology, innovation, knowledge transfer, scientific capability and education, particularly those with demonstrable regional relevance and potential for wider application.
